across the bus window,
the sky has declared

Forming brooks and rivers,
their icy splatters
merge and separate
and I, a simple observer,
ache with unexplained sadness,
my eyes filling
with hot, burning tears
long suppressed.

Now two lonely hands
Hold my bleeding
