Fact versus dogma (a system of principles or tenets, as of a church) are two entirely different things. So factually, the clear, undeniable Fact, is that Jesus, according to the Christian bible, no matter what version you choose to quote (or misquote) from, never mentions homosexuality in any way discernible to any person with any level of intelligence. That is a fact!

That does not however, dissuade those who need to believe that Jesus did, from unabashedly quoting the old testament (in its newer inflammatory and discriminatory NIV) and the new testament to somehow try to justify their beliefs and discriminations.

I try not to read articles about anything I am about to write about beforehand, so as not to influence my judgment or thought process. I knew in this case, because of the sensitivity and long held beliefs of many, I would have to. You see, if people truly knew the bible, there is no way possible anyone could write for the opposing side in agreement that Jesus did mention homosexuality, because the evidence, no matter what version of the bible you choose to write from, simply does not exist. That is FACT.

We live in a world where some would use this forum (or others) and undermine their own intelligence, by writing something inaccurate just to make a point they need to believe because their religion has encouraged them to believe. They have chosen to blindly follow a belief Jesus would never condone, if my understanding of the bible is correct. Jesus was about love and acceptance.

So I read the first two articles on the opposing side and I offer only my validly researched conclusions for a couple of the quotes used in those articles to verify their belief that we should condemn homosexuality because it is a sin. No one actually did mention any quote attributed to Jesus.

Please note: I have given only two different bible versions of each quote when there are many others. I did not include the surrounding passages which also include other sins. Those wishing to put the passage in context will seek that out themselves. I also chose not to include any other passages about any other sin mentioned in th bible.

1Corinthians 6:9-10

9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will
