Yes. People look at gays and lesbians as the gateway to hell. It is a sin they are a bunch of big sinners right. But the bottom line if you lie, steal, cheat, kill or a whole bunch of other things it is judged as sin. Who are any of us to be the judge and jury of two people dedicating their lives to one another.
If two heterosexuals live together and have children, nobody is in an uproar that they are not married. In Hollywood, the new deal is to have the baby first and then get married how many folks are in an uproar. They even have fashion tips on what the expecting unmarried moms should wear during pregnancy.
This is a union to acknowledge that two people care for one another. The sin has already been committed according to the bible depending on whether you are in the old or new testament. But as a domestic partner this allows them to go on each others medical insurance. It also allows them to make medical decisions for each other without some family member stepping in and acting a fool.
They have already made the choice to be gay or a lesbian a long time ago. Therefore, what really is the big deal they are not heterosexual they acknowledge it. I admire the folks that step up and say this is what I am and this is whom I want to be with for the rest of my life. To me I respect people that take a position on what they are and not straddle the fence and do it all. Two very nice women that I have had the pleasure of knowing my whole entire life are still together. Now they have been together for at least 35 years are you saying that is not right for them to be able to make decisions for each other in times of crisis? How many married people do you know stay together that long not many I am sure.
Maybe instead of throwing stones at the people that are dedicating themselves to each other and staying together forever. Look inside there relationships to find out in heterosexual relationships why the divorce rate is so high but the chances of them being together forever has a better shot. Listen we have enough problems in our own day-to-day lives then to worry about two people saying we want to be together. So many broken marriages and broken homes that how can we throw one single stone.
There is a saying never throw stones if you live in a glass house yourself. I am completely comfortable in my own skin as a heterosexual who lived in sin by not being married for five years. I sinned, I have to only ask GOD to forgive me for what I did, and gays and lesbians have that same option. This is called free will and we all can exercise this right whenever we choose to do so. Why not just leave people alone and agree to disagree and keep it moving with your own life. Seriously, who actually has the time or the energy to purge someone it is a choice and in the constitution, they have the right to do what they want just as I do.
