"Extra! Extra! Read all about it." shouts every newspaper, daytime and nightly news on the ongoing ever exhausting Democratic Campaign for the 2008 Presidential Election. Hilary and Obama debating and fighting for the Democratic seat has become merely a joke within American Households because these two candidates are dragging out the Democratic Campaign for too long and it makes me wonder if the Citizens of the United States will actually come out and vote at the Election? Far too many co-workers, friends and family in many different states have said that they will not be voting this year just because the Democrats can't get it together with a Candidate, and the Republicans selected a Candidate that is just like President Bush.
We've heard the constant, "We Want Change!" from many Americans, and which ever Candidate makes it through to the Democratic selection, you will get exactly that: Hilary being a woman, and Obama being the first black President. John McCain on the other hand doesn't fit the wanted 'Change'.
We all know that John McCain will continue to give us War, as he and President Bush are so alike. He is also old which makes nightly news question if he'll be around long enough to fulfill his term if elected President. However, he proves to have much wisdom when it comes to war but, how many more men and women will have to leave our homes to 'defend' our country? If that is really what they are doing for the United States of America? Defending our Country or going to Iraq for completely different reasons? Do we really want constant War? Of course either a Democrat or Republican President will have to keep our troops in Iraq for a couple more years to clean up the mess. But do we want a continued, never-ending War? That's exactly what we'll get with McCain.
We already know that Hilary will lose and Obama will be elected as the Democratic Candidate because whoever Oprah sides with, more than half of American Women will follow. And you know Women... We/They can talk and spread the word about whatever they are most passionate about. Then with the Kennedy's endorsing Obama, well...that seals the deal. But is Obama the proud American that we'd love to follow? His refusal to put his hand over his heart or even look at the American Flag when the Anthem is being played or sung is a clear and concise sign of disrespect, honor and loyalty to our Country. I am uncomfortable and ashamed that Obama has made it as far as he has in this Campaign, knowing that he is not a respecting U.S. Citizen. So many of our men and women have died for our beautiful, free Country that we live in, and we remember them each Memorial Day by visiting their graves, putting an American Flag on it, surrounded by beautiful flowers, and listening to Military Bands play a song, or shoot a few rounds with a direct salute to the American Flag. Its too bad another black person who respects our flag didn't run for President. Because I know many other black people who would be excellent candidates for President and they would show respect to the flag, Our Country.
So it boils down to Obama and McCain.
Please will someone, anyone...help us...and step forward and announce that you'd like to be a 'Write In' for the 2008 Presidential Campaign. I'll bet you'd either win or shake the Campaign dramatically!
