The Language of God
I know that most of you have either heard of the book/CD series titled "Conversations with God" or maybe you might have thought that having a conversation with God was a new idea that occurred in the expanse of your beautiful mind. All kidding aside, I've come to a conclusion, via influence of course, that we don't know the language of God in our present human consciousness. God doesn't speak English or any other spoken language. The spoken word is incapable of conveying the potent "word" of God. This is significant to understand this because so many people want to talk to God for one reason or another.
First off, my concept of God is not a being sitting on a throne, in a place called heaven, surrounded by a countless number of cherubs, seraphims, cherubims, archangels, angels, etc. I believe God is a boundless entity that encompasses all and is the reason for all that is. The purpose of communicating with God is not for someone to make requests of a super duper human being. The purpose is to commune or become one with God.
At a Loss for Words
So let me explore the idea of the language of God. Think about this. When people have these so-called out of body experiences (OBE for short), they normally have many words to describe their experiences. What I find to be invariably consistent with these experiences is the indescribable aspect. This is so common that if I read about an OBE that didn't have the indescribable I would question it's authenticity!
Actually we don't need an out of body experience to have an indescribable experience. I'm pretty sure you've experienced being at a loss for words to describe something. Normally these experiences are of the profound variety, meaning it changes one's perspective or it's a really, really pleasing experience. What I find interesting about these experiences is that the human language is not the best form in which to communicate. I also think that some people would retort that "the spoken word is the best that we have." I find this perspective and statements emanating from this class of perspectives realistically deflating. With thoughts like these, why should we go on any further with anything that pushes us to do better than what we have?
So, I'd like to assert that this indescribable experience is a glimpse at the language of God. To me anything Godly is infinite in nature and essence. It is simple and complex at the same time. It's a paradox that isn't a paradox from a different perspective and yet
