"An Unfair path"
A tree, born upon a broken hill
Unknowing and pure, exploring and unsure
Sterile, in stark contrast to the evil surrounding
A tree, sitting upon a broken hill
Festive and inviting, joyful and exciting
Innocent, in stark contrast to the corruption surrounding
A tree, sitting upon a broken hill
Its colors defined, its branches merrily entwined
Growing, in stark contrast to the pestilence surrounding
A tree, sitting upon a broken hill
Its bark old, its leaves a pale and sad gold
Mature, in stark contrast to the infection surrounding
A tree, sitting upon a broken hill
Its bark stripped, its leaves unwillingly clipped
White, in stark contrast to the blackness surrounding
A tree, dying upon a broken hill
Worn from the sun, worn and undone
Dead, in stark affinity to the hell surrounding
