Akaril DemonHand
Akaril Gendis was born to the Grey Hunter Clan, in the lodge of Warrior Bear Claw.
He was a cousin to the great warrior but his mother was a mere concubine,
unwed and socially outcast. Akaril became known even as a youth to be a greedy,
lustful person who had few friends among the other youths.
As his prospects were not high, few of the clan women looked upon him.
Akaril Gendis traveled far across the plains, trading furs and weapons for gold
among the tribesmen. It was at the Blackpool encampment, Akaril met the woman,
Sephtra Majjid, known among her own clan as a witch and sorceress. It was she
who initiated Akaril into the occult world of Chaos.
Akaril reveled in the new powers that Chaos and his own nature brought out.
Akaril Gendis was a mediocre fighter at best before but now his skills quickly improved
with the aid of Sephtra's Chaos Magic. Sephtra Majjid was very wise and had been
well tutored by her mother and all her female relatives in the Witch-Cult of Hagara.
Sephtra knew many secrets and with Akaril's protection, the two of them gathered to
themselves riches and power.
It was on an expedition to raid the tomb of a powerful witch that everything
changed in an instant. Inside the depths of that ancient tomb, there was a cave-in
that killed many of the workers forced to excavate the tomb by the two Chaos Cultists.
Akaril and Sephtra found a burial crypt that contained the remains of Jherika, the
Witch-Queen of the Marshes. That crypt had remained undiscovered and undisturbed
for thousands of years. Inside Jherika's sarcophagus, amid her crumbling body, was a
hand, curiously undecayed. This hand had a blue tint to it's skin but was unharmed.
The hand wore a platinum bracelet that was untarnished and gleamed in the torch-light.
A voice that was not his own spoke to Akaril in his mind, saying; " This hand is the key
to wondrous power and glory, Take it up and achieve your destiny!". Akaril said to
Sephtra; "Did you hear that?". Sephtra answered; "No, I heard nothing". The Hand,
which had lain dormant for centuries longed to be free. The voice spoke to Akaril again,
saying; "Do not allow the woman to interfere, kill her now or she will take me instead!".
The Hand then put forth all it's power to force Akaril to kill Sephtra in order to activate the Hand. Akaril's greedy nature, combined with the magic of the Hand made Akaril turn and stab Sephtra in the chest, killing her and activating the Hand. The voice now said; "You must remove your own hand as a sign of
