FIFTEEN YEARS

For fifteen years he was in the pen.
Got out a time or two, went right back in.
They had divorced and that was fine,
But, child support, she never got a dime.

She recieved no help from the state,
Did it herself or it had to wait.
Though he had committed the crime,
She and the kids were doing time.

And would steal and wreck her only car.
