It is a norm that man should work to earn a living . We either work for others or we work for ourselves . Therefore the primary purpose of having to work is to earn a living and not depend on financial aids from family and friends when we attain working age .
Working for an established employer would mean a steady income as established employer would have a steady stream of customers . When we compare the lifestyles of our employers with us we find ourselves short changed . They are making much more money on our knowledge , skills and our precious time. The are rewarded because they dared take the risk of venturing into business.
Therefore the first thing we should worry about by being self-employed is whether we have any customers at all. The risk of not attracting customers is the first fear factor we have to overcome. If we know we can do render our professional duties withour guidance and are also confident in getting enough customers , by all means take a calculated risk and rip the benefits of a self - employed as opposed to working for someone else.
Self - employment is better because working for our selves and making a comfortable living cause us to rise up to meet the demand and expectations of out customers. Our workers mentality of a 9 to 5 job changed almost instantly when we take the plunge into self employment. We become a better person by managing ourselves while managing our business.
For once we care about how our work measures up to the demand and expectations of the customers. We have to render our work professionally to attract new customers and well as to retain existing customers. we are putting our money making power in our own hands . We are writing our own pay checks so to speak , that's why we pay attention to our customers by constantly improving our services. It is good for us , and it is good for our customers.
We enjoy the personal freedom and achievement as self-employed . Freedom to do whatever we want as opposed to work under the instruction of perhaps a difficult boss. We feel a sense of great achievement when we know that we have served our customers well and they start referring customers to us.
Many have failed as self-employed . They had better off working for others . But when we do well as self-employed , we will build a reputable name in our community , our social status , our income , are much to be admired by our peers who are working for others. We reap the rewards that come along with our guts to take a calculated risk in self-employment.
