Absolutely, I am no brainy but I do have eyes, and I can see the impact that is has on me and others as individuals. In my opinion, if the United States of America can put a man on the moon then they should be able to make a product cheaper to run our vehicles. It is very disturbing, but this is just another way of our Government not being for the people or protecting the people.

I am so glad that people decided to stay home during the holidays and reached into the oil companies pockets. It is a crime at the profit they are making. If they are being honest with the American people I hate to see dishonest. God forbid.

There are also military guys (when they are not out of the country) that enjoy coming home on the weekends, but they cannot afford to because of the gas prices. If the profits of these companies were not so huge, but it's unreasonable. They are depriving our children of coming home from military bases, from colleges, from where ever. I blame the gas companies because they are the reason.

The elderly and others who have very little money can only afford to buy 25, 50 gallons of gas at a time (during the winter) to try and stay warm and usually gives out before they can pay for more. It also cost the tax payers more money because Social Services is taking some of these low income families and buying their gas.
No, the gas companies are not really an asset to the economy. They are jabbing us every way they can. The bad part is,(in my opinion) they are laughing all the way to the bank, and does not care and is not concern about the people. Yes, we should boycott them, we should use as little gas as possible. My house was totally gas a short time ago. I heated, cooked, hot water heater and dryer. I do not heat my home with gas nor do I dry my cloths anymore and am just as cozy as I want to be. I have cut down on my gas consumption and will continue to do so. I have to, I can not afford it. Gas is getting to the place where only wealthy people can afford it. It will soon be a luxury.

It's sad, but in my opinion the American people have been sold out to the big companies all in the name of money. What's ironic is they have military people in other countries fighting for our country and our government is here selling us out just as fast as they can; it seems. Like I was raised, God, Guns, and Guts made America, Lets Keep All Three. Lets hope for better days.
