Poetry: Girl Scout cookies

by Midwest Mom

Created on: June 01, 2008

oh thin mint, temptress in black
the skills to resist you I lack

minty goodness from your insides abound
i think of you and gain five pounds

today i crush you to make a delicate crust
and top you with cream cheese and cocoa dust

your devilish creamy outside envelops your crispy core
my tastebuds scream and cry for more

you and your girl scout friend must leave my sight
and I will dream of you another night
