A man once asked some people
"Who sits upon your throne?"
these people when they answered found
their king,to each his own
In this world of many choices
oft Desire rules our heads
Want becomes our master
and Power our daily bread
In a world of endless possibilities
how easily we lose our way
and we put upon our personal thrones
all of that for which we pay
Worldly wants and personal desires
that are a means but not an end
the worldly trappings that we idolize
and on which our time is spent
The natural hierarchy in Christian life should be
that God sits upon your throne
because only when this day arrives
can his work through you be done
He should be our epicenter
the nucleus in our cell
to be more like him is what we strive for
as we drink from his bottomless well
So as Christian followers always re-assess
"Who sits upon your throne?"
Ensure that God retains his rightful place
to build your Christian home.
