As you find yourself contemplating a work from home job, just remember that every individual, every business, and every organization, and government agency represents a market for someone's special products and services. To find your' niche, you must first decide which problems or needs your product or service addresses or solves, then aggressively seek those who need what you offer. There will always be a demand for worthy products and services, and getting the first few customers or clients is not what's hard. What is hard is coming up with a steady stream of interested prospects month after month. What is even harder is getting enough of those prospects to buy in order to turn your work from home job into a year-round, consistent income producing one.

If you are selling products, and in need of ideas on where to sell them, you may want to check out the Internet. It is a great way of getting products out-there' in a global market. Today, just about any kind of business can use the Internet's resources and tools to enhance and improve their markets. Even if you are a writer, publisher or consultant, you can conduct business via the Internet. This makes for a much easier way to having a work from home job.

Building an Advertising Network
One of the first things that a business owner should do when building their business, is concentrate on building an advertising network and one of the first steps is with word-of-mouth advertising. The first way to assure success with word-of-mouth advertising is to offer products and services that give people real value for their money. Satisfied customers will always be quick to tell others about great products they bought, good books they've read, and helpful services that save time, money or aggravation.

Once you begin hearing from satisfied customers, you shouldn't hesitate to ask them for a written testimonial copy so that you can use it in your promotional material. Once you have developed a small list of your satisfied customers, make it easy by asking them to help you by giving out your business cards or flyers to their friends and/or business associates. (Just don't load them down with a bunch that they will just end-up throwing out.) People tend to like helping others out and will be glad to pass on information about a good product or service. Others will talk about you even more if you offer a small incentive for spreading the word - perhaps a discount on your product or services each time one of their referrals contacts you. After a while, you will have built a successful advertising network for yourself.
