That's not true of the weather awaiting your adventure at Big Bear Lake in California. Nestled in the San Bernardino National Forest, the weather is just right at Big Bear Lake. The weather at Big Bear Lake is not too cold; it's not too hot, it's just right for you to enjoy four seasons of activities.
In the summertime at Big Bear Lake the area sees gorgeous weather. The sky is a beautiful clear blue, and the sun shines so incredibly brightly, with the fresh air it makes you feel great to be alive. You can enjoy any activity here, without having that wilted lettuce feeling. In May the temperature is an average of 66 degrees, just warm enough to go kayaking, canoeing, hiking, bicycling, and catch some big lake trout. In June when other cities in the U.S. are experiencing high temperatures, and high humidity, Big Bear Lake is experiencing an average temperature of 75 degrees. By this time you will be able to enjoy all the water sports you can handle. You can parasail, jet- ski, water-ski, go wakeboarding, wake skiing, and go swimming.
You'll be able to enjoy July Fourth festivities, by watching fireworks exploding over your boat on the lake, in comfortable temperatures. You won't have to worry about a sudden thunderstorm putting a damper on the July Fourth festivities either. With the average temperature being at 81 during July in Big Bear you can spend one day hiking through the many mountain trails here, and the next day fishing in the splendor of the lake. In August the temperatures are 79 degrees to enjoy all the lake has to offer.
By September it is still relatively warm enough to do everything your heart desires at Big Bear Lake, but the nights start cooling down some. At this time of year you can still enjoy many of the summer activities such as swimming, boating and jet skiing. Overall the nights are pretty cool here with the fresh mountain air and the low humidity. Be sure to bring a sweatshirt.
During the fall months at the lake, it starts cooling down even further and by mid-October it is usually a comfortable 65 degrees. By this time of year outdoor activities are very popular here, with hiking through all the wonderful natural trails where you will probably spot bald eagles and hawks. You'll be able to walk and bike, and go horseback riding through a forest of natures colorful best due to the trees changing colors. And best of all you can still go fishing to catch some trout and catfish.
By mid-November ski season starts up and continues until spring breakers come to ski in shorts and tank tops. During the winter visitors can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and a plethora of fun snow time activities to be enjoyed by every one of all ages. January, February, March and December have an average temperature of about 45 degrees. While skiing season is coming to an end fishermen are arriving at the lake to catch their first big catch of the season.
The weather in Big Bear Lake is what Goldilocks never found in that story at the bears house, but you will find the weather to be just right at Big Bear Lake California, for all that you want to do.
