However much time moves on Disney keep inspiring new generations of little girls to be Princess'. Drawn to the luxurious, flowing dress, Precious gems, the everlasting balls or the idea of there being one Prince Charming who will sweep them off there feet and into the sun set to live out their 'Happily ever after', every little girl at one stage wishes that they could be a Princess.
Wanting to be a Princess can provide endless hours of fun and games and where better to plan their assertion to the throne then from the comfort of their own bedrooms (Palaces).
The first way to create your little girl her own dream palace is to firstly to decide on which Disney Princess you want to base her room on. Every girl has her own favorite Princess who reflects something about their own personality or wishes. Will it be the rags to riches Cinderella with her lost glass shoe, House proud Snow White with her Seven Dwarfs, Always a Princess, Sleeping Beauty a.k.a Princess Aurora, Rebellious Jasmine with her pet Tiger 'Rajah', the mermaid with the beautiful voice, Ariel, or the beauty who enchanted the beast (Belle). These are known as the six traditional Disney Princess' however recently, Mulan and Pocahontas have also been included in the Disney princess range.
The following steps will help you to design, prepare and create a perfect Disney Princess room for your little princess.
1. Once you have decided on the perfect Princess (or you could use a selection) then research them. This can be done by watching the movie(s) again to find the main features of your chosen Princess. For example note down other important characters, the types of items that the Princess owns such as Cinderella's shoe and important symbols of the film such as the rose from Beauty and the Beast. You could also go on-line to research in places such as the Disney site itself and there are also many links from Goggle. You will also be able to find free images this way and simple coloring pictures that could be turned into stencils if you're feeling that creative.
2. Next you need to decide on a color theme for the room. This could be linked to the color of the Princess' dress' or a color that stands out throughout the film.
3. Depending on how artistic you feel you could create a 'feature wall' with a famous scene from the film. This could be as complex as painting Snow Whites cottage complete with Seven Dwarfs down to a sunset horizon into which the Princess and Prince Charming are walking. You could also
