Is it possible that society has its priorities confused?

People often forget that everyone is human just like everyone else. People like to ridicule people for making mistakes that they've probably made in their life as well. No one is immune to making mistakes. People have this perfectionist mindset that everyone has to be doing everything by the book otherwise they get noses turned up at them. That's why it's so hard for ex-cons to get jobs because no one is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt like yeah...you made a mistake, what did you learn from you mistake? What can I do to work with you to ensure that you and I are on the same level? No one at an interview ever asks questions like that, they never even address the fact that a person has been convicted of a crime, they just say " we'll call you"

Ever have someone nearly run into your car on the interstate? Doesn't that make you mad as all? However, when you nearly run into someone's car it's like gee calm down I'm sorry I didn't see you.

It's like we praise celebrities for their talents, but when they screw up, we're quick to turn on them just like Michael Jackson, Michael Vick, and Kobe Bryant.

Don't you hate when someone tries to exercise power over you? like they control your actions or something? You're like..how can you have power over me when you're just like me, your blood is red just like mine. You can't have power over me when you're just as capable of making mistakes as I am. If you're going to expect perfection you have to be perfect too. That's why i don't know why parents expect so much from their kids and are so hard on them if they don't get straight A's, like they were Ivy League Scholars...it makes me sick. I know I was blessed with a gift and I try my damnedest to work as hard as I can because I know my family supports me, but I'd be damned if I'm gonna try as hard as I can and it still not be good enough. Like what do you mean it's not good enough? it's all i got! if my child gives their all and comes home with a B-, that's fine I got a B- before. It's going on the fridge. If my child comes home with a C, a C is fine, that's average, it's going on the fridge, but as a parentI'm gonna work with my kid. If my child gets a Dit's not fine, but if I know they're giving their allI'm gonna find a tutor to help them out.
Don't expect out of someone what you didn't accomplish yourself and then punish them for not accomplishing itit's silly.
