Bedroom decor: How to design a Disney Cars theme bedroom

A Disney Cars theme bedroom would be a fun room for any child to sleep in as well to spend a lot of time playing in as well. The first thing to consider is always the paint on the walls which would be the main change to any room. After the walls are painted one can either leave the walls with just a primary color or jazz it up with one wall covered with a "Disney Cars" themed wallpaper or perhaps wall stickers or there are even wall borders that can be purchased which are one foot strips of wallpaper which can be applied either to the tops on walls or mid way on the walls for a different affect. The pros to wall stickers would be that they are easily taken off once another change is needed in the decoration of the room into another theme. Wallpaper is a more permanent fixture, however with the wallpaper that is produced these days they too are easily removed if need be. One can also just paint the walls and then purchase framed pictures depicting scenes for the "Disney Cars" movie to be placed in strategic areas of the room.

Another thing to consider is the character in the "Disney Cars" movie which appeals the most to the child whom this room will belong. If one goes to the local store or searches catalogs one can find a child's bed in the shape of a racing car made out of hard plastic. This would make a fun bed for any child. The racing car bed requires only one mattress verses a standard bed which requires a box spring along with a mattress. Bedding can be found in your local stores depicting a scene for the "Disney Cars" movie. Bedding which includes fitted sheet, top sheet, comforter and a standard size pillow case. Aside from the bedding is the window treatments which can either be blinds in a bright blue or red color or perhaps cloth curtains with the "Disney Cars" theme imprinted on them.

Next would be the furniture other than the bed. A child would do best to have a desk, preferably a computer desk because in this day and age a computer is becoming a must have in the schools and if a computer desk is purchased along with the rest of the furniture at the same time as the rest of the coordinating furniture it will be a match from the start rather than hunting for that one piece a year or two later when the furniture lines have changed and the exact match is no longer available. This is also true when picking a theme bed over a coordinating bed possibly a mate's bed with extra storage space in the bottom. Next a child should have a dresser with a matching mirror always a good choice for the future when the child needs a mirror to check on their appearance. A five or seven drawer dresser would be good depending on your budget and space available. There can never be too much storage space.

Lastly there are the accessories which can be bought either on line or at your local stores. These accessories may included "Disney Cars" alarms clocks, lamps, light fixtures with the themes, light switch, covers with the "Disney Cars" theme, framed pictures which can also be used to hang on the walls, the list is endless. Along with the accessories be sure to pick up a few sets of the "Disney Cars" for the child to play with along with a few t-shirts and clothes the child can wear. There are also throw rugs one can purchase with an actually picture of a race track imprinted on it for the child to play racing games on.

Depending how wild you want to go with decorating or how subtle you wish to create the theme room it is all up to you. Just know the child who receives a room with a "Disney Cars" theme would be a very happy child indeed.
