Watermelons unite throughout the world
disgusting messy weapons, when hurled
Green and thick skinned, armed with surprise
splattered head to foot, in seeded pink disguise
Pods waiting to absorb us in our sleep
body snatching melons, counting sheep
Forty winks, or just a blink
another personality on the blink
Beware, beware, supermarket shoppers
the watermelon loves your teeny-boppers
Ever wonder why they change, like night and day
the watermelons come and take their brains away
Spitting seeds across the field
thirty feet or more, the children yield
Pink and juicy, sticky bee attracting mess
rinds of aunty Mary, sleeping in her dress

Down my face.
Tasty flesh dances on my taste buds,
excusing the bitterness of the seed.
