I know you're mad,
but don't treat me bad.
I'm trying to be strong,
so don't do me wrong.
On my face will be a frown,
whenever you put me down.
You say you love me,
but still you choose to be
taking anger out on me.
Why can't I see
the man you used to be?
Please show me.
I know it ain't a cup of tea,
but please do this for me.
No more will I be on bended knee.
Why can't you see
how much you mean to me?
I want this to be
for forever just you and me.
Soon you will see
that this ain't make believe.
Stop putting me down,
so I can take off this frown.
"I'm sorry" you will say,
then I will wipe my tears away.
Next time you get mad,
please don't treat me bad.

You run your fingers through my hair
I look up from the warm cocoon of your loving arms
