My daughter and I make "Yogurt Fruit Crunch" at least once a week. She loves to layer the ingredients. This simple and quick recipe is a great introduction to cooking for your toddler and per-schooler:
YOGURT FRUIT CRUNCH:
2 cups of your favorite yogurt (flavored or unflavored)
1 cup of granola cereal (we sometimes use Grape-Nuts)
1 cup pureed fruit (your choice)
Spoon layers of the yogurt, cereal and fruit into a bowl and serve. (Makes for individual servings.)
A variation of this recipe is to layer the ingredients in small containers, insert a popsicle stick and freeze. This is a wonderful summer treat after a day of playing outside.
