As You Live & Die
Your face, glowing and bright
Emanating warmth and sincerity,
Stays on my mind and in my prayers.
The life you live, the love you've given,
Pulsates a vibration throughout space,
And everyone feels your profound mission,
Everyone responds in kind with love,
Pouring out from friendly smiles
And caring words written on cards
With themes like 'thinking about you'
And 'you are in my prayers'
Simultaneously, I watch my friend, your Soulmate,
Dancing beautifully through this drama with you
Like seeing two perfectly floating clouds
Morphing across the vast blue sky,
Silently in sync with each other as they
Skate across the heavens, lifted in travel by the
Invisible winds of earth, which is frankly
Much like the rhythmic thread that connects
The two of you with an eternal beat,
A musical work of art created from the
Bond between your hearts and souls.
It is a beautiful vision, your life
Interacting with each of us, including Even
the golden cat that sits upon you,
Gently guarding you like a royal lion protecting his beloved,
Or the feisty black dog that leaps around your bed,
Energetic and enthusiastic in her presence,
Or the flowing waterfall and rustling greenery
Of the garden outside your window,
Or the quiet nurse who sits in subtle attention,
Aware of your momentary needs.
The cheerful movement in orbit surrounding you,
Is proof of your pure heart and the lifetime
Of diligent and caring efforts you have made for others,
As now we all yearn to flock around you,
Our hearts expanding and pounding with feeling,
Our eyes speaking with clarity of your nobility,
Our minds in awe of your unspoken inner strength,
Our lives exponentially reaching to respond to your very essence.
May we each be a reflection of your greatness and humanity,
Through every moment we share with you,
Whether in silence, laughter, dialogue, or memories.
May we each do you proud, dear comrade,
In this journey through the eternal, unchanging
Dimensions of life.

Poetry: Near death
by Jon Coe
I live near a road that is well traveled and worn
The roses in my yard are all covered in thorn
People in my life have lived
To the edge I step
Looking straight down,
What has brought me to this point?
What can I do to turn this around?

Light as a feather
Stiff as a log,
Darkness swarms in on the unsuspecting form,
The pain this body feels is swiftly
What have thee world to offer,
when I already have eyes to see you.?
What seek thee, heart.?
The kiss that makes a still-lung
