Poetry: Anger

by Robert Rogers

Created on: May 30, 2008

Every glance in your direction
Sets me ablaze
A venomous hate
It rushes through me like adrenaline

It slams into the barriers of my patience
Clawing against my calm
It gnaws upon the walls that cage me
Thrashing against my will to contain myself

Clenched fists, nails digging into my palms
The blood drips as my jaw tightens
Rage, wrath, chaos spills from my eyes
Hate, it is my aura, it radiates an ripples out of my body

It poisons my very soul
Contaminating my mind
It sickens me, the very sight of you
My stomach churns

I shake to my very core
The anger within spills over
It consumes my body like wild flames
I lust for your death, to spill your blood
