America for the Big Business by the Big Business
America is not for the people by the people anymore; the big businesses have taken our rights and thrown them to the wolves. Politicians want no more than to make us believe we still have our rights, like freedom of speech. We can't even vote for who we want and feel confident that the popular vote will win. Employers have the right to take away our freedom of speech as long as we are at work. The bosses can fire at will, and give no reasons, they yell and scream and make us feel inferior, but if we speak our mind about unfairness, we are fired. Open door policy is, just a way of gathering information in case management needs some made up excuse to fire you. Open door Policy should be renamed my case against you policy. Beware real workers, employee at will means, don't get to comfortable, I can and will fire you if you look at me wrong. The worst situation is when an employee is fired because of a lie by management. The other employees are afraid to stand up for what is right because they could get fired too. Every day millions of Americans walk into work check their constitutional rights at the door, and clock in. These people are not all business workers, most of them are factory or production workers, service workers, and really the people that do the jobs corporate America would be to embarrassed to do themselves. I grew up in small town USA. The only means of my families support was the local steel factory. After 34 years that is closing down, moving to China and Mexico, where they will do the same job cheaper. What happened to supporting our own to ensure that it would be there tomorrow? The loyalties of Americans live in their wallets, hoping that if they can save a buck, then they will be ahead. I remember when buy American was popular. Now it is getting the best price you can at any cost to your neighbor.

Give me a break, my family has been through lay-offs, cutbacks, and firings. I have lived this most of my childhood and adult life. I have lost faith in our government to protect me and my family from corporate bullying, and passive discrimination. Americans have very little rights left. We the people have to stand up and say not anymore, give me back what our fore fathers and grandfathers fought for. Our right to say that we don't like something or someone, for our children to be able to read the Bible at school, and to pray in public because we are all fearfully and wonderfully made by God, being oppressed in the land of the free is rather ironic.
