Picture of You
I look upon your photo in wonder.
I am awed by the beautiful woman I see there.
I marvel at how your eyes sparkle just so.
They seem to twinkle with a magical light.
I am amazed by your smile,
as it radiates its brightness to the world.
I sit here, for what seems like days.
Enraptured by your photo I search every feature of your face.
Like some newly discovered species of flower,
till I can close my eyes and see you there smiling upon me.
I reach out.
touching this cold screen before me,
wishing I could reach in and pull you to me?
yearning to feel your warm skin on my finger tips,
and feel your hot breath on my face,
as we hold each other close.
I wish to place my hand on your heart and feel it beating in rhythm with mine.
I raise my voice to the heavens and declare that by your grace,
my darling Muse,
one day this vision of mine shall be true.
