Well, let's see. There are thousands of toys safe for infants these days here are just a few that I would definitely suggest.

The first would be the Fisher-Price: Rhymes-Go-Round Musical Mirror.
It has an elephant with a little mouse friend. In the first few months for my baby she loved to listen to the music, it is motion activated. After she was able to hold her head up she could lay on the floor and play with the mirror and also listen to the music. This is a wonderful toy for any infant and I strongly suggest this to any new parent.

Another toy that has caught my attention over the years is a Baby Einstein - Neptune Infant Carrier Musical Toy Bar. It is wonderful for car rides. It doesn't hang to low on the carrier and it isn't loud or annoying so it doesn't distract you while you are driving or talking or anything you might be doing. Again this was one of my daughters most favorite things to watch while we where in the car. Amazingly, it kept her quiet for most of the car rides we took. I also loved the ocean scenery and the fish hanging down. I think this makes a great infant toy!

This one is another great crib toy when you need the time for yourself trust me it works! Kick & Play Piano this toy attaches to the baby's crib and she can kick at it and make music and different animal sounds. It also shows baby shapes and colors. This is still in my little girl's crib right now and she is three. She loved this toy when I try to sell it she cry because she still wants to sit up in the crib (which she doesn't sleep in anymore) and just listen to the the animals and she will say it along with them. So I strongly suggest this to a parent of an infant, and don't throw this toy away after a few years; they may still want it after that!

The final toy that I believe any infant should have would be the Kick & Crawl Aquarium, because they will have a blast with this! There are so many things to see and look at in this they will love it to death.  I am now pregnant with my second baby and its going to be a boy and my first child was a girl and I know he will love it just as much as she did. This toy along with some of the others I have talked about encourage baby to kick and bat at overhead objects while laying down. This is one of the most exciting times for a baby's mind; why don't you do something good for it? This would be a wonderful addition.
