US elections 2008: How President Bush will influence the 2008 election

It will be surprising to look back upon the United States presidential elections of 2008 and see the strange influence President Bush had on the elections. When he was elected He had great hopes of doing great things to lift America into a more moral government with greater influence in the world. Those supporting godly principles felt they had an advocate in the White House. Many are disillusioned.

Throughout the eight years of his presidency, hopes have been dashed and everything he put his hands to seemed to be met with rebuke and insult. The leader, who proclaimed a relationship with Jesus Christ, attacked another nation without first being attacked. His attack contrary to the warnings of many advisers and the United Nations was based on fear. He went against the very values expected of him

We look on his influence in the 2008 elections in sadness as Republican candidates for president and Congress are cautious to be seen with the president and his policies. Here is a comment that will sound strange; we are actually in a better position for the world and the country because of what we learned through the Bush administration. If all things had gone well with the economy, energy, and the war, we would continue our usual pace of spreading democracy with its manufacturing, processing, packaging, and transporting of food and goods and making jobs for people around the world; and we would continued destroying the world and our bodies because good prosperity would have blinded our eyes to a need for change.

Now we can see something we should have seen many years ago; the goal of life is not employment. The goal in life is retirement in a garden paradise that we can begin now. We can escape and cut off the world problems we created. A simple solution to the energy crisis, pollution, global warming, wars, social security problems, health problems, crime, education problems and more are all solved by turning to planting food bearing trees, bushes, vines, and plants and by selecting pets that give milk and eggs. That gives a life of true freedom and independence that we would not have recognized in a prosperous administration.

Another way President Bush could influence the 2008 elections is in selecting a new vice president in time to compete in the elections. If Vice President Dick Cheney has to step down from office for various reasons or if his health causes him to leave, President Bush could select a leader prepared to lead us into this abundant life in a retirement lifestyle of loving and helping neighbors. Our present lifestyle leaves us little time to care for our own property or those of our neighbors. A prepared candidate would usher in an urban renewal plan that will leave us in amazement. We will be similar to civilizations of old that used manpower more than inventions and created great nations. President Bush will indeed be a fond memory for future generations because of his influence in the 2008 elections.
