The most deadly animal alive

There are many animals that should be considered for the title of deadliest animal. This is because there are simply many animals that in an enclosed situation with a human, would kill one easily. However, measuring the deadliness of one animal against another when both are perfectly capable of causing fatalities is something that is subjective to a lot of people. Then there is the question of whether something powerful and aggressive, or something poisonous and sly should be considered more deadly. When in reality both are pretty nasty to encounter, and often equally as dangerous to be around.

When thinking of an animal that would be terrifying to be close to in the wild, most of us might think of a bear of a crocodile as the most dangerous. Certainly when either has you in its sights and intends to harm you, they are very hard to escape from, and very hard to stop or scare away. Also both cause many fatalities every year in certain parts of the world. They are both far from being the highest killer of any animal species however, which belongs to a far more, seemingly innocuous animal.

The highest number of deaths each year in fact goes to the Hippo, followed by the African elephant. Both of which tend to happen because of encroachment onto their habitats by people. Hippos mainly come into conflict with people because of people hitting them in small boats when they are under the water. This then often results in the boat and anyone aboard being bitten in two. The number of people killed by hippos every year is probably even higher then reported, because many people are then never seen again, and their bodies are never recovered. Probably having been eaten by crocodiles and the like after the hippos have moved away.

The African Elephant tends to attack because particularly the males can become very aggressive during certain times of the year. Third then causes them to run riot until they have calmed down. Often to the detriment of anyone standing in their way. For them things such as barriers, fences, houses etc are no obstacles. Because if they want to get through they simply smash through anything they see. Elephants will occasionally also overturn and crush cars full of people if the mood takes them in the outback. And will often charge at people who have gotten closer then they are comfortable with.

The salt water Crocodile is the largest of its kind in the world, and can be very aggressive. While it shies away from confronting an elephant or
