Through your mirrored eyes I see my soul, let my eyes do the same.
Growling clouds of suffering await the joy that tames.
As arrows rain down on all sides, we make our way in life.
They shatter against our close embrace; we are not bound by strife.
Your support is my bedrock, the steel in my bones.
It redefines what I once felt as being alone.
I cannot be alone the way I once knew the term.
Nothing can part me from love that holds so firm.
It lifts me up on days when nothing else goes right,
When plans go wrong and stress bears down as a lock that holds us tight.
Our love holds the key, but we must turn it in the latch.
To let love burn through all that binds, we must first light the match.
With love let loose within us, free to dance and play and run,
The darkest days will shine forth with the light of noontime Sun.
