Commitment does not sit well with everyone, there are some who think they will have to stop being 'themselves', and some who let the important things slip away from a relationship having made a commitment. Some say that you can live a lifetime with someone and not ever totally know them, and some live the lie in fear of what others will say if the commitment is broken. Spending the rest of your life with someone is like any other partnership in life, business, friendship, even parenthood - good foundations need to be established. I remember asking my parents how they had survived almost 60 years together and were still so happy ... easy they said .... we work on it every single day.

You only need to ask yourselves a few questions, and be 100% honest with your answers;

1. Do you trust your partner implicitly
2. Do you feel totally comfortable in their company
3. Do you receive respect and loyalty
4. Is your partner understanding and compassionate
5. Do you expect and enjoy the same ideals
6. Is your partner easily able to compromise
7. Does your partner take time to listen to you at the end of the day

If you are both able to say Yes to these questions, then I suspect you have found your Soulmate and are ready to make a commitment.
