Myrtle Beach, South Carolina provides the perfect setting for a quick getaway. From sandy beaches to shops and restaurants, it has something for everyone! It is important to book a hotel as soon as possible, as this area is known to have fewer vacancies during the summer months. There are a number of hotels to choose from within Myrtle Beach, from oceanfront resorts to economy hotels. Once the hotel and/or rental car are booked, it is time to explore!
For a quick getaway, it is possible to pack in quite a bit of activity while still enjoying the feeling of being on vacation.' Lie on the beach, swim or visit one of the many shopping districts that pervade the area. Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach are two shopping complexes that are must-stops! Replete with novelty shops and restaurants, these districts can provide hours of entertainment. Broadway at the Beach even houses Ripley's Aquarium and an IMAX theatre.
After the afternoon fun, it is time to decide on a place to eat! One will never be left with a shortage of choices when dining in Myrtle Beach. The area has so many restaurants that it would take years to get through them all! Fine dining is accessible as well as a number of seafood buffets, steakhouses, and eateries ranging from franchises to local establishments.
After dinner is just another time for more entertainment! On a nice evening, play a game of miniature golf at one of the many themed courses in Myrtle Beach. Perhaps, the music lover may want to take in a show at the Carolina Opry, the Alabama Theatre or go to a concert at the House of Blues. However, it is imperative to remember that many shows have limited seating so it is most beneficial to research the desired performances and ticket availability.
A trip to Myrtle Beach would not be complete without a day at the brand new Hard Rock theme park! This is sure to provide the utmost in entertainment for people of all ages! The park is split into five areas, Rock & Roll Heaven, Cool Country, Lost in the 70's, British Invasion and Born in the USA. Each include historic rock memorabilia and novelties present in each location. The park has a number of roller coasters.
