Do all roads lead to heaven

No, all roads do not lead to heaven.  Heaven is the place prepared for those who accepts God's free gift of Salvation.   There is only one way to get to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.  During my life time, I have taken many different routes to reach my desired location.  For various reasons, I have chosen or I have been directed to go a different way.  It didn't matter that I took a different route than I normally took, I still arrived at my desired destination.  However, if my desired destination is heaven, I know there is only one way to get there.  I know this because the Bible tells me so.

In the New King James Version of the Bible (John 14, Verses 2 - 6), Jesus makes it very clear that the only way to get to heaven is through Him. Jesus tells His disciples about the many mansions in His Father's house and that He go there to prepare a place for them.  In Verse 4, Jesus says, "and where I go you know and the way you know.  In Verse 5, Thomas (one of the disciples) said to Him, "Lord we do not know where you are going, and how can we know the way.  Verse 6, Jesus said to Him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."

The first book of the Bible, Genesis, Chapter 2 and Chapter 3, tells us that God created the first man Adam and placed him in the Garden of Eden.  God told Adam that he was free to eat from all the trees in the Garden except from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  Adam disobeyed God's command and ate from the tree of knowledge anyway.  Because of Adam's disobedience, sin entered into the world, separating all of mankind from God.  Because of Adam's sin, we needed to be reconciled to God. John 3:16-17 tells us that God loved us and did not want us to perish in our sin.  He loved us so much that he gave his only Son, Jesus Christ as a ransom for our sin.  Jesus gave his life so that we may be saved through Him.  He paid our sin debt in full so that we may have access to our Father who is in heaven.

It is only through the Blood that Jesus shed on the cross that we now have access to our Father who is in heaven.  My daily prayer for all is that we gain wisdom, knowledge, and  understanding of God's word, so that we will have no doubt as to the road that leads to heaven.
