If you're looking to let loose in the waters of Big Bear Lake, California or spend a relaxing day sailing, look no further! Big Bear Lake boasts 22 miles of shoreline and stretches approximately 7 miles. This four season resort community is home to several attractions sure to be a blast for the entire family. Bring your own watercraft or take advantage of many available rental facilities. The possibilities are endless!

Begin at Holloway's Marina where you can set sail on Big Bear's only pirate ship, The Time Bandit. The Time Bandit offers daily tours with live entertainment and authentic pirates. Each tour is set at an affordable $12.95 for adults and $9.95 for the skippers. Stow away for private parties, weddings, kids birthday parties, overnight charters, and even film production. Reservations to stow away can be made by calling (909)878-4040. For those of us who bring everything including the kitchen sink on vacation, Holloway's Marina will accommodate you with their full service RV park. The RV park has all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable and worry-free. If the RV route isn't for you Boulder Creek Resort has affordable packages sure to accommodate just about everyone. Reservations at the resort can be made by calling toll free (800)BIG-BEAR.

Head around to North Shore Landing and Get Wet WaterSports to take advantage of Big Bear's largest fleet of personal watercraft. Water-ski or wake-board until your heart's content in the good hands of expert, certified staff of boat drivers and instructors. Feel free to captain your own vessel as Get Wet Watersports provides you with a wide array of rental equipment. Set sail aboard a sailboat ranging from 17 feet to 23 feet. It's fine if you are not an experienced sailor. Expert guides are available for you for a nominal fee. For all you salty dogs who have already logged many hours sailing, 16 and 18 foot catamaran rentals are available if you want to speed things up a bit. The options don't stop there! Hang your "Gone Fishin'" sign and rent one of numerous fishing boats with 8 or 10 horsepower engines to take you to find a favorite fishing hole. Maybe you would like to party or relax on one of the facility's 18 or 24 foot pontoon boats that hold up to 15 people.

To satisfy your daring side scoot on over to Big Bear Parasail at Pine Knot Landing where you can fly 300 feet above the lake or rent one of many high powered wave-runners. Big Bear Parasail is family owned and operated and has an extremely knowledgeable staff that has flown over 10,000 injury free flights since 1994. The minimum age to parasail is just 7 years old but all children under 12 must sail in tandem and have a liability release signed by a parent or guardian. Single rides start at $75 and tandem at $125. No Reservations are necessary. For directions or contact information you may visit www.bigbearparasail.com.

As you can see there are many attractions in and around Big Bear Lake so pack up the kids and head on out!
