Summer Sun come warm this frozen heart.
The icy winter winds have kept it cold.
I feel nothing but the empty place where it
Sits and waits for him or no one.
There was a spring breeze to warm me,
It came by in such a hurry.
The only one to even look or feel right to me,
Was not right for him and he is gone.
I had not recognized it at first,
It had been so long since I found someone so close.
I waited long for him to return to me,
But it was not meant to be.
The icy winter still rests well in my chest,
It has found a secure home there.
No heat from the hottest Sun will reach inside,
I keep it as cold as the chill and snow.
Summer Sun come warm this frozen heart.
The icy winter winds have kept it, oh so cold.
