Overcoming body image issues through self-acceptance

Believe, trust and obey God. You won't feel ashamed of who you are. You don't have to live with feelings of guilt , shame or rejection anymore. Walk in the light today, look at yourself differently. If friends reject you , God says, "I will never leave you or forsake you."Hebrews 13:5. Check everything out for yourself. Use Google Search for Bible Verses. There are search engines for any problem you have. Don't stay stuck in the junk you have been saying to the FRIEND IN YOUR MIRROR.

How many times do you look in the mirror and attack yourself? How many times in one day do you use words that would make a boxer cringe? You are so tough on yourself and what you may not be aware of is, you will become what you say to the mirror.

You are a God creation, you have been formed by a master. You might have made choices that have degraded the masterpiece, through a poor diet, drugs, no sleep, smoking, and the like. All of it can be changed, but it will start with what you say to the mirror.

Even if your face is loaded with acne, your nose may be crooked, or wrinkles are starting. Look at the rest of you that is perfect, and consider the percentage. There is more of you beautiful than ugly. You know that is true. Start recognizing the beautiful, and speak to that. Start thanking the Lord God Almighty for the fine job He did in creating you. Just start with that as a first step.

Make a promise that each time you look into the mirror from this day forward you will treat your image as you would treat a best friend. Overlooking the negative and concentrating on the good stuff. If you need to change some habits, do it. Just do it, and after a short time the results will be so apparent that you will want to continue.

Start memorizing positive statements. You will find the most in the Holy Bible, and the words have life and power from this book because they are God Breathed. Start with John 3:16 , "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life;" Be a believer so you have an account in your name with God, to draw from. Memorize the verses and use God's words when you simply can't find something good to say to yourself. Such as Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." That verse can break any addiction you can think of.

There is so much evil in the world, and it attacks you the most by your own words. If you refuse to be against yourself from this day forward, and instead use the Bible verses of love, the power of evil will have to leave. Evil forces want you to think of all the stupid wrong things you have done, and any negative statements that others have said to you. Evil wants you to think there is no hope, and things will only get worse. The Bible verses than will overpower those evil thoughts are, 1st John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Do that and leave the consequences to God. Simply trust God, you don't have to trust yourself.
