Gay marriage in the United States has not been legalized because of the moral and religious standards under which our laws have been established. Traditionally, marriage in the United States has been the consensual union between one man and one woman as established by the originator of the marriage contract-God Almighty creator of heaven and earth.

Proponents of traditional marriage have been considered narrow-minded bigots for their refusal to violate their religious principals set forth from God's Holy Word, The Bible.

Same sex relationships were banned by the Christian faith because the Lord Himself does not recognize homosexual lifestyles. He condemns them! He considers them an abomination and strange flesh. In the book of Genesis, The Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for their homosexual life styles. The legalization of homosexual marriage would bring about God's further judgment upon the United States of America.

According to Leviticus chapter 20:13, "If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them." What does God have to say about homosexual relationships in the New Testament?

According to Romans chapter 1:26-27,"For these reasons (idolatry) God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due."

Modern philosophy wants to prevent our nation from basing its laws upon the Bible. The Bible is the blue print for establishing relationships between people. Most people would consider sins such as lying, cheating, or stealing to be wrong. Even individuals with no religious background would not like their spouses or children to either lie to them, or be disobedient.

Cheating on homework assignments or tests is frowned upon by the educational community. Would they like thieves to have free access to their business and homes to remove money or personal property? Of course not, however, these guidelines for living did not originate with mankind but by The Lord Himself in The Ten Commandments.

What is the answer for same sex couples who wish to violate God's principals and live together? Several states including Washington grant homosexual couples the same privileges as married couples. In 2004, Governor Christine Gregoire signed the Domestic Partnership Law in Washington State. States such as Massachusetts and Vermont protect them under the guidelines of civil unions.

Hawaii and California have legalized Gay marriage as well as the City of Seattle in Washington State. As a result, God has been slowly removing His protective covering from them. The more a state or a nation violates God's principals, the more natural and man made disasters will result.
