It's the 89th minute and the audience fell to an eerie silence. Tevez slowly walked up with the ball 1 on 1 battle. Chelsea defender Ashlea Cole is ready. Suddenly, like the wind Midfeailder Ryan Giggs comes for support. Sweating with anxiousness, Carlos Tevez sends a through ball to Giggs, now on a breakaway, the crowd gasps as he shoots GOAL!
Manchester United, founded in 1878, as Newton Heath L&YR F.C., and former team of star David Beckham. Manchester Utd is the best soccer team in the whole of Europe, as they have one the Premiership in England, and the UEFA Champions League in Europe both this year.
Manchester United is currently owned by former player Sir Alex Fergeson; most successful coach I terms of trophies and coached by first team coach Mike Phelan.
Manchester Utd has an all-star First Team and Reserves. The first team includes:
Goalie Edwin van der Sar! Edwin van der Sar has made a grand total of a 141 appearances, and like nearly any other goalie, has scored no goals.
Defender Gary Nevielle! Gary Nevielle is one of the legends in Manchester Utd has made 547 appearances! Although he has only scored a mere 7 goals...
Fullback Patrice Evra! Patrice is probably the only fullback who can beat off opponents from Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Inter Milan. He made his debut during the Manchester Darby Manchester United vs. Manchester City. Of course he played well, and he got in the team!
Midfeilder Owen Heargreaves! Finally a Canadian Owen joined Mancester Utd on Canada Day 2007! He had just been bought from Bayern Munich from Germany. The Canadian has showed tremendous skill, but there is one downfall. Owen plays for the British National Football team instead of Canada.
Centre back Rio Ferdinand! With a five year contract, Rio became the most expensive player in the history of European soccer. He gets paid a salary of 7.5 million dollars a year, lives nicely, and has played more than 700 games! Although he has scored 7 goals.
Rightback Wes Brown! Wes is quite good, as he had been playing for the Manchester United Youth from 1992 to 1996, the he joined the main team in 2002, and he's still going.
Those are my favourite, now for something a little more fun. Cash and the "Bling Bling"!
Payments:
Since Manchester United is rich, famous, and the best in the world (I'm not lying), they pay their players a lot! Rio Ferdinand, as I said earlier, is being paid a massive 7.5 million dollars a year. Others range from half a million to 7 million. Imagine being paid 1 million
