The problem of animal cruelty

With so many different forms of abuse towards animals, it may be happening in your own neighbors home without your knowledge. It saddens me greatly to know that people can be so cruel and hurt an animal. Whether the animal is yours, someone else's, or even a stray there is no reason and I mean NO reason an animal should be abused.

So many people are cruel to animals without even having a conscience about it. These are the people which worry me the most. It starts out with anger and is taken out on an animal and then may spread beyond that. We have to share this world with animals and we are not any better then them just because we are humans. They deserve to be treated well and not hurt, neglected, starved, beaten, yelled at or any other form of abuse.

It is so sad when someone adopts an animal when it is small and then once it grows they grow tired of the animal and abandon it or neglect it. So many animals are starved and that is something no-one or animal should ever have to go through. There is no excuse for treating an animal with neglect!

If for any reason you can no longer care for your animal then it is your duty as its owner to find it a new good home. Animals can not simply be discarded because they become a nuisance to you. They are many ways to find an animal a home. You can place ads in a newspaper, place flyer's around town, in a grocery store, ask around if anyone wants to adopt an animal, or even find a shelter.

Sadly millions of animals are euthanized each year! This happens to all breeds, pure breeds included. A simple way to cut down on animal population so many will not have to face this situation is by spaying or neutering your pet. Irresponsible and ignorant people choose to breed their animals all for profit and it harms animals all over.

Each animal that is breed is taking away a possible home for a dog which is already alive and awaiting a home. Another thing that saddens me tremendously is dog fighting. What kind of sick human being gets their kicks out of torturing and watching these poor dogs be torn apart and left for dead? A very sick individual, that is who!

The main problem with animal cruelty is that it is hurting the animals we are supposed to be protecting! There is never a time when it is alright to hurt an animal! We need to treat animals with the respect they deserve. We are all here to share God's creation of this world, both humans and animals alike!
