I believe they were extremely wrong in making gay marriages legal. Marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. Not a man and man or woman and woman. For thousands of years, marriage has been between a man and woman. Why does it now have to change? It seems that since the beginning of time marriage has been around and it has been with a man and a woman.

I believe that we are all partly at fault for the whole matter. We have made it "acceptable" to be gay. I believe it is a choice to be gay, but I believe it is a serious matter. Our children will one day be our ages, and they will look at what we did and follow in our footsteps. Gay marriage is not right. No matter how you try to spin the situation, it is not right.
Those, like me, who are religious, should stand up for our views. Our society as a whole is slowly disintegrating step by step. Not just in sexuality, but in all matters. I do not understand why so many people are surprised by them making gay marriage legal.
We let our children watch shows that promote homosexuality, we ourselves watch the shows. We joke about being gay, and we flippantly throw around a word that once stood for happiness, and has been remade to promote homosexuality.
Homosexuality is not the only thing that has risen in today's society. Drugs, sex, and alcohol are just some of the things that have cause major problems. It amazes me that we sit there and shake our head over the "sad state of our country", yet we do nothing to try to change it. We are the reason that our country is the way it is. We might not promote it, but we are not doing our best to end it either.
Homosexuality has completely destroyed the sanctity of marriage. We have done nothing to stop it. We shouldn't be surprised at the downfall of our whole society. Instead of shaking our heads, we should stand up and try to repair what we can.
We can change our world, but only if we want to. If we really want this all to change, we should make the steps necessary to make it happen. It's our responsibility to be the moral backbone for our nation. We have failed miserably in that aspect, so we are partly to blame for it.We need to stand up for what we believe and change our world because we can. Cameron Diaz was once quoted as saying, "We are the future and the future is bright." We are in control of our future. We have the ability to change everything around us. Our children depend on us. Our future children depend on us. We have the ability to change it all. Let's change it!
