The world would be a better place without ...

There are many things this world would be better without. Drugs are the first things that come to mind. People on drugs will do the darkest and most horrible things to get a chance to get high. I know people that are in the streets because they chose to follow their drug habit rather than having a home. They are experiencing hell on earth and aren't afraid to bring the innocent down with them. Drugs turn otherwise great people into monsters. They cause people to steal, harm others, sell themselves, and even kill. If there were no drugs in this world, people would have a chance to work through their life issues with a clear mind. Therefore eliminating a huge part of the crime and pain.
Stealing is a terrible thing, but in the case of drugs one of the lighter consequences. There will be someone who is willing to open their home and support to a drug addict. Some people have trust for their friend or family member in pain. In return, a druggie will steal all but their home right from under them. In fear of getting their vehicle stolen, the innocent sleep with their keys under their pillow. Living in ultimate fear of the unknown are the lives of the innocent tangled in a drug addicts web. Not knowing not only what the person will steal next, but will the next time bring something more monstrous than this.
The low part of the drug habit that doesn't directly affect the innocent, is prostitution. A person driven by a drug habit will sell themselves to get high. Resulting in dangerous situations, physically and mentally. The person is opening up the possibility of terrible diseases. As well as their reputation and the embarrassment of their family and friends. They of course, don't care as they already went down this far to get their poison.
Emotionally and physically harming others is another consequence of a drug habit. Stealing will lead to breaking into homes and going as far as hurting someone physically to get what they want. The mind of a person on drugs is so dark and clouded, they may say or do things that are horrific and wouldn't do as a sober being. Many a person's mind is distorted when high or in pursuit to be. Priorities are thrown to the waste side and no matter who they hurt it won't matter as long as they are getting their fix. Drugs are an unfortunate substance that is too easily accessible in this world. They cause the distorting of one's mind in turn inflicting pain and even worse on the innocence of this world.
