Poetry: Enemies

by Mike Finlay

Created on: May 29, 2008

Black crows open up the sky
Look at all the master cars gleaming sultry and demeanor
Twisted chrome
Orange haze
Up-ending streets of your first house
Gardens pass by undeterred and fade
Sacred places
Orange haze
Artisan sculptures of remorse
The endless lines in eyes of anger
Followed so closely by fear
Then nothing, but
Orange haze
