There are so many breath taking adventure destinations out there on this Earth of ours it is near impossible to pick just one. So I say why just pick one, why not travel to two, three, or four of these places in the same week. This is made possible by today with the Cruise Ship.

Now some of you, who have not experienced a cruise before, are scratching your heads telling yourselves Rob you are crazy. Well that may be, but when it comes to cruising I know exactly what I am talking about. I have traveled on over twenty different cruises and what I love the most is I am never bored. Most people think cruise ships are shuffleboard, eating, some lame show, eating, and eating some more. Well the truth is if that is what you want to do you can, however on today's cruise ships there is a whole world to explore even before you get to your first destination, making today's cruise ship a destination in itself.

Today's largest cruise ship is over 160,000 tons, 1,112 feet long, and will hold over 3,600 passengers. This mammoth class of cruise ship is called the Freedom of the Seas. The Freedom class is run and operated by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, who is taking cruising to entirely new level. With everything on board from rock climbing walls, ice skating rinks, and even a surf simulator there is no doubting the adventures you will enjoy on this ship. All cruise lines are adding new and exciting amenities to their ships to stir up the adventure in you.

Now that we have had a look at what kinds of adventure are on board the ship let's not forget the adventures waiting for us at the ports of call. On a cruise vacation you can go to nearly anyplace you can dream. The adventures of Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, The Galapagos Islands, Europe, Asia, and more. The wonderful thing about cruising is it can take you anywhere and your hotel is traveling with you.

The great wilderness of Alaska offers you the opportunity to trek through Denali National Park and enjoy the wild life. Perhaps you would like to go dog sledding in Tok where the community lives revolve around breeding these wonderful dogs, and how Tok earned the title of dog sled capitol. Walking on glaciers, whale watching, panning for gold are all adventures you can find onshore during your cruise.

Maybe you desire a more tropical destination like Hawaii or the Caribbean. Well let me tell you there are many adventures awaiting you here as well. Maybe scaling a volcano, or bike riding down one is what you are looking for. Perhaps climbing 600 foot water falls in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, scuba diving with sharks, or exploring the ancient Mayan Ruins in Mexico will offer you the most adventurous vacation ever.

As you can see there is nearly something for everyone aboard a cruise ship and the ships destinations. The Cultures of Europe, pink sand beaches in Bermuda, and the untouched wilderness of the Galapagos Islands proves the best destinations for adventure travel has yet to be discovered. Where will your inner explorer take you?
