Why do humans need pain? In short humans need pain in order to feel alive. Imagine if we never experienced pain, then we would never appreciate what it is like not to have pain. There are three types of pain, physical pain, mental pain, and heartache pain.
During physical pain our bodies are designed in such a way to trigger our pain receptors when a part of our body needs tending to. A headache for example can have many causes. Now a pill can be taken and it may go away but if it continues to reoccur it will force us to stop and try to figure out what else maybe wrong. One of the most common causes for a headache is dehydration. In our fast paced world we sometimes just neglect to take the time to re-hydrate our bodies. At other times headache pain can be a signal for a much more serious problem. Depending on the location of headache pain it can be a signal from anything from ulcers to a possible tumor. There are maps of headache locations and possible indicators of problems associated with on the Internet or books which can be obtained from your local library. A headache for an example if located directly on top of your head is a good indicator for possible ulcers.
Other physical pain can be anything from a simple sliver that needs to be taken care of to other pain in our joints or muscles which are just trying to tell us to stop or slow down what we are doing in order for our bodies to heal or just get a much needed break.
Another form of pain is mental pain. This pain is experienced through relentless thoughts that just keep repeating in our minds and do not leave us to be at peace. We have all experienced that mental drain pain sometime in our lives. A good way to resolve the issues that plague our lives is exercise. Simple solution and yet it is so beneficial to rid our bodies of that pent up energy which tends to settle in our minds and cause us grief. A much needed walk with fresh air is sometimes all we need.
Journalizing is an excellent way to put the problems which cause us mental pain out of our heads and down on paper. Sometimes seeing our problems in print can help us to resolve what is troubling us or just to jot it down and put it away for the time being for when we can devote a set amount of time to problem solve. This way it is out of our minds all be it only temporarily, but it can give a much needed break.
Talking to a friend or a professional with an empathetic ear is another way to help us cope with problems which cause us mental pain. Even
