"What really happened on 911?" is the most important question of our time, yet we fail to ask it.
Instead of being diligent enough to do our own research in order to determine what those answers are, most of us have chosen to believe that our patriotism depends on our willingness to accept what our government tells us. Nationalism and blind obedience, believing that politics and religion should not be discussed, are the tools that have been foisted upon us for generations, and it's time to realize that knowledge, education, and activism are the only true ways of utilizing our constitutional rights. This country was forged by dissent, and there is nothing more patriotic than questioning the path that led us to war, and why we are currently still involved in this quagmire. Yet "We The People" have forfeited our control by allowing ourselves to be manipulated into not even questioning what we have been told.
Let's go back to 1997 when Vice President Dick Cheney, a founding member of Project For A New American Century, along with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Defense Policy Board chairman Richard Perle, Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, and Bruce Jackson, as well as others, came together to redefine America. PNAC is a Washington based think tank with the major goal of establishing a global American Empire to oversee the will of all nations in furtherance of it's own promotion.

"We The People" did not demand voting recounts and accountability in enough numbers to even satisfy ourselves that he'd won. Had we taken those steps we may not ever had to face the occupation of Iraq or the tragic loss of life that has ensued.
But back to the plan for the New American Century. Part of it demanded a strategic "transformation" of the U.S. military into an imperialistic force of global domination requiring huge increases in defense spending to "a minimum level of 3.5 to 3.8 percent of gross domestic product, adding $15 billion to $20 billion to total defense spending annually."
"The process of transformation is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event-like a new Pearl Harbor." American Free Press asked Christopher Maletz, assistant director of the PNAC about what was meant by the need for "a new Pearl Harbor."
