"Hi. My name is Judy, and I am (sigh!) an internet game addict."
I admit it. The majority of my spare time is spent on the computer. Am I checking my stock investments? Heck, I thought NYSE was an acronym for 'Not Yet a Soduku Expert'. Am I researching the presidential candidates' platforms online? Forget about a particular candidate's foreign strategy, I want to know his/her poker strategy, by golly. Am I searching for my next dream job? Maybe, if my next dream job involves time management skills, like those I've honed to a tee on Diner Dash or Cake Mania.
Being the internet game addict that I am, I have checked out many different internet game sites. Many are internet gambling sites that maintain your banking information and require a deposit or are pay-for-fee games. Call me paranoid, but I just don't feel comfortable giving out my banking or credit card information to an internet gambling website, no matter how "secure" they claim their website to be. Other sites advertise free games, but you quickly discover that the only "free" games are limited-time, limited-feature versions. The really challenging, full-feature games must be purchased individually at a premium. As a rule, few high-quality internet gaming websites are truly "free."
However, I have found a truly wonderful exception to that rule at www.pogo.com. Pogo is a card and board game enthusiast's paradise! Just about every card game imaginable is offered, from Beginner to Master skill levels. From several different versions of Solitaire, to various parlor type games like Hearts and Bridge, to oodles of casino type games like Poker and Blackjack you are sure to find your favorite here.
If your forte is board and table games, however, no need to look further. Pogo's board games are equally challenging. Backgammon, anyone? How about Chess? Checkers? Bingo? Dominoes? They are all here. So are various forms of Mahjong. You can even piece together jigsaw puzzles here. Did you ever pull out your boxed board games from beneath old, dusty linens in your hall closet, or spend hours putting together jigsaw puzzles, only to discover there are crucial pieces missing? That will never be the case with Pogo.
Card and board games are not the only options here. Like slots? Pogo has many different types of slots, including those that tell a story with different spins of the wheels, or those that are just plain silly fun, like one of my favorites, "Hog Heaven Slots," in which the goal is to collect pigs and haloes.
