Cool Tasty Coleslaw
Great at picnics, church suppers, tailgate parties, and family reunions. You will receive rave reviews. Be sure to have recipe handy so others can make it for their families.
Shred
2 lbs cabbage
3 carrots
3 stalks celery
1 cucumber
1 zucchini squash
Heat on low till dissolved
1 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
When cool add
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon mustard seed
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup diced green pepper
1/2 cup dried red pepper (not the spice)
Mix well and pour over the cabbage mixture.
Store in a Tupperware container.
Flavor improves the longer it stays in refrigerator.
