Nutrition for children

As we grow older into adults we tend to forget the basic principles that were taught to us about the food groups. It is easy to tell ourselves that there is no time to make a healthy lunch or stop and pick one up, sometimes it is just easier to go through a drive-thru. This behavior that most of society has become accustomed to is teaching the younger generations poor nutritional behavior.

In order to teach our children about nutrition we first must become educated in it and practice eating healthy. It's true children are sponges, they pick up every behavior we allow them to see. This article will provide some of the essential nutrients that not only a child must have but all humans as well.
Throughout the many centuries of farming our world has slowly depleted the land of key nutrients our bodies need. Now days our standard way of eating is not providing enough, which has clinically been proven to cause illnesses. Whether we intake daily pollutants or are stressed our bodies require a certain amount of nutrients to fight any ailments and irritants that we may encounter. By eating properly and taking certain vitamins and supplements along with our daily meals we can begin reduce cravings for sweets, cigarettes and alcohol.
According to Dr. Wallach, the founder of American Longevity, people tend to consume too much of certain things (fat, sugar, calories). They do this because the body is craving essential nutrients that are missing. The following list was taken from the longevity library (2008) to show some of the trace minerals our bodies require.
