Hillary's and Barack's adventures on the 2008 campaign trail

The art of being a lady is knowing when not to be too much of one. Hillary Clinton certainly fits that description.. Exhibiting her tenacity at every turn, she continues to push forth as the trail gets muddier, even though she stumbles and falls, even though less and less around her are holding out a hand to pull her up. She is not giving up. She learned from the original comeback kid how to be resilient; but she did not learn how to be gracious and use that graciousness to her advantage. Based on the latest reported responses from Chelsea Clinton, some of that dogged determination is obviously genetic.

The rest is just plain mean.

Paybacks are hell, as they say, and this dog is planning to have her day. All those perceived as the enemy, not only in the Democratic primaries but in her entire political life, are fair game. Hillary is now blinded by the fading opportunity to seek revenge on all those who obstructed her path. So consumed by this mission, she lost the vision "for the people", and torpedoes on in her quest for coronation. Sound familiar? She demands her place at the head of the table as a right, divine providence, a mandate that she should be in charge. In short, Hillary is the best Republican the Democratic Party has to offer.

Clinton is too smart not to know her support system is crumbling away; but she is too greedy to even think of bowing out of the race. She feels the presidency is her future legacy, her apogee for years of being ignored and pushed aside in her political quests. Her years as First Lady offered her nothing but political impotence where she thought she could reign as Queen in Bill's Kingdom, or at least his partner in crime. Hillary never fully recovered from those particular blows, and that smite left a bitter taste seen today in the scowl that is never far from her lips.

Hillary continues to dissect the Democratic Party without regard for the broader vision. Myopically, she wages an inbred war, encouraging infighting for her personal gain; her contrived words belie the deeper truth of winning at all costs-even if the costs are detrimental to the American people. To fight the Republican enemy she has learned from the Republican playbook, becoming one of them, deciding to take no prisoners in order to get what she wants. Too much warring history, her foundation is sinking and she is desperately slashing and lying her way to the Democratic Convention. The people have seen Hillary gloat, cry, evade, lie and more in her attempt to secure the White House. Frantically, she is willing to do almost anything to gain what she feels is her destiny. Anything but respect the will of the American people. Clinton even uses her own daughter, who reportedly stated her mother would be a better President than her father. All is fair is love and war.

Clinton's desire to help this country regain its stronghold in the world lay third or fourth on her list of selfish designs. She is all too willing to rupture the party that many feel is the panacea for the last eight years of autocratic regime. If her personal goals are realized, her opponent's supporters are likely to vote against her rather than for the Democratic party. Her continued divisive acts will, in fact, pave the way for the Republican nominee to become President.

The art of being a lady is knowing when it is time to go home.
