I read the title here and a stinging pain behind my eyes begins to grow, reaching all the way from the back of my head and makes want to scream out. "Why Bush Wants War"; let's make the title even better! It should have been, "Why Bush is the devil reincarnate?" or "Why Bush Wants to Eat Little Children". This is the direction we are heading in, correct? Pure hate for a man who has led the U.S. with honor and dignity. Who set out and performed what he believed was correct in his heart, who clearly admitted if he made any mistakes, and has stood up time after time to do the right thing.
The vilification of the U.S. president has overwhelmed the Democrats and liberals to the point where that is all we hear from them anymore. I recall the 2004 and more recently, the 2006 election cycles. What did the Democrats offer that was positive? NOTHING. It was all about, Bush did this wrong or Bush did that wrong. Where was the vision, the plan, the solutions that they claim to be able to deliver above and beyond anything that George Bush could do. It was not there. The liberal platform is an empty balloon, covered with recycled talking points that once you stick a pin in it, it bursts and you are left with nothing.
But let us return to the concept that Bush wants war. I do not believe that anyone can honestly defend the position that in a post-9/11 world, that war was not forced upon us. Whether it be in Afghanistan or Iraq, the Bush strategy to pre-empt is not only strategically correct but morally required in order to prevent (that is correct, I said prevent) the further loss of innocent life. The cost of not acting would have led to multiple 9/11 scenarios. It seems to the politically left, the preference is the loss of innocent U.S. lives as opposed to the unfortunate collateral damage suffered in countries that supported terrorism and dictatorships that threaten the entire western world.
So let the left and their twisted logic converse about "Why Bush wants war". I am satisfied that they sit around in their little fantasy world, coming up with all types of conspiracy theories. The left just needs to stay out of the way and let grown-ups take care of the real world. Then they might start to realize the title here should read "Why Bush Wants Peace and Freedom for All Mankind".
