Poetry: Yearning

You make your presence known.
You still whisper in my ear at the most inconvenient times.
You make your presence known.
In the salt air while I'm at the sea.
In the cobblestone path's I walk when I'm far from home.
You make your presence known.

You make your presence known.
In my garden's path as I contemplate the harvest.
You make your presence known.
In my mindless hours as I read the daily news.
You make your presence known.
In the afternoon's hustle as I get my schedule clear.
You make your presence known.

You make your presence known.
In the stillness of your goodbye.
You make your presence known.
You rustled up my demons, all they do is play.
You make your presence known.

In time, they say, this presence will go away.
You make your presence known.
You make your presence known.

    Your well of tenderness,
