Poetry: Symbols of love

Lying Together

Remember the insomnia
It turned minutes into hours
But you kept me occupied
With your mind reading powers

A child in heart
Looking for some hope
And though you took it out of me
You were the reason I could cope

And I can't remember much
Except some stormy weather
And the beauty of you and I
Just lying together

Just lying together
Just lying together
Yeah the beauty of you and I
Just lying together

You're not here now
Were you even there before
You'd say I love you eye to eye
Yet you were evil to the core

On the outside you were bold
All those things I'd hate to see
But within those green painted walls
You would stop my misery

And I can't remember much
Except some stormy weather
And the beauty of you and I
Just lying together

Just lying together
Just lying together
Yeah the beauty of you and I
Just lying together

I can't have you in the day
And you can't have me forever
But I cant replace the feeling
Of us lying together

Yeah lying together
Just lying together
The beauty of you and I
Just lying together
